Academy Students Secure Apprenticeships

4 young apprentices are starting our their careers in Plumbing and Heating after progressing through their qualifications with our Plumbing and Heating departments. Dean Burns, Michael Holmes, Damain McDonald and Calum Power have all successfully secured apprenticeships following completion of the James Paterson & Sons Apprenticeship Academy at our Greenock Finnart Street campus last year.

Xcite-ing times for Mhairi!

Greenock Employability Adviser, Mhairi Powell was delighted to support one of our industry partners towards a big win at the Inverclyde Inspirational Award last month. The annual event held at Greenock’s Cruden Hall saw Xcite Activity Play Centre receive a top accolade for the Inspirational Community Organisation Award after Mhairi nominated them for their efforts to provide a positive and inclusive experience for those in the local community.

Currently the only college in Scotland, and one of only 3 colleges in the UK to provide the training, West College is offering the ABBE Level 2 Certificate in Fire Sprinkler Installation covering Residential and Commercial sprinkler installation
