WCS to Deliver Pioneering Next Gen Engineering Course

This upcoming academic year, West College Scotland will be one of one 3 colleges across Scotland to be delivering the pioneering Next Gen HNC Engineering – Mechanical and Electrical. Being offered at our Greenock campus as an additional exciting course to our extensive Engineering offering, the Next Gen qualifications have been adapted by the Scottish Qualifications Authority to give our learners the skills they need to thrive in the 21st century workplace.

After months of rigorous interviews and selection tests, West College Scotland and James Frew finally welcomed their 2022 Modern apprenticeship intake on 1st August. With 15 new apprentices across three trade disciplines, this further confirms the partners commitment to investing in future talent, building capacity, and improving the life chances of our young people.
