Thursday 23 October saw West College Scotland, in partnership with Developing the Young Workforce (DYW) West, welcome 60 pupils from secondary schools across West Dunbartonshire for an inspiring Chefs Day with a Travel & Tourism twist.
The interactive event gave students the chance to step into the world of hospitality and travel through a series of engaging, hands-on workshops designed to spark curiosity and build confidence in industry-focused skills.
Participants enjoyed a packed programme including:
- Professional chocolate-making demonstrations
- A flavourful curry masterclass with MasterChef star and West College Scotland Lecturer, Sagar Massey
- Hands-on barista training
- A realistic cabin crew experience aboard “West Airways”
The event showcased the exciting pathways available within hospitality, travel, and tourism, allowing pupils to gain valuable insight into potential future careers within the sector.
