If you've just left school or you have been out of education for a while and are interested in Social Sciences, you can find out more about what they are, and the skills they will equip you with on this short course. You will also build your confidence in a range of communication and teamworking skills.
On Track will introduce you to a wide selection of fascinating subjects which help us understand society and social life, providing you with the skills and knowledge to kick start a wide range of possible future careers. You’ll study a range of subjects from:
- History
- Psychology
- Sociology
- Criminology
- Communications
You’ll also have a dedicated guidance tutor who’ll help you navigate your way to success.
What qualifications do I need?
You should normally have studied to National 4 level or equivalent, but we will consider applications from all..
Acceptance onto this programme will also be based on an interview and may require a written piece of work to determine suitability. Applicants should be able to demonstrate basic numeracy and communication skills and be able to demonstrate a genuine interest in learning and furthering their education. Adult returners welcome.
What can I do after?
There are various progression routes in the Social Sciences following successful completion of the course including:
NC Social Sciences – Level 5 or 6 and Access programmes depending on suitability.
