You'll develop an understanding of the creative economy and have opportunities to take part in work experience, field trips and masterclasses from industry professionals.
The course will be part college-based, and part external live briefs, often with an emphasis on teamwork. You’ll use your skills to complete an individual graded project during the final block of study.
What qualifications do I need?
You'll need two Highers, one of which should be English, or NC Media with Communication (SCQF level 6). Alternative qualifications and experience may be considered in some circumstances.
For a place on the course you’ll need to attend an interview, and show a genuine interest in the media. You can bring along a show reel, demo or other portfolio evidence if you like.
What can I do after?
After successfully completing this course you’ll have the skills needed to get an entry level role in media production or communications.
Or you could develop your skills further by studying another course, such as:
- HND Media and Communication
- Year 1 or 2 of a degree in Media and Communication, Broadcasting or Film.
