Do you like to experiment with your make-up styles and would like to learn how characters are created and special effects are used to transform a look? Start your career as a MUA here!

The course is focused on those who have a keen interest in Media Makeup and Photography and would like to pursue a career in Makeup Artistry progressing to HN level moving into the Film and Theatre world.

This creative exciting course will cover practical subjects which will give a good understanding and skills set to enable successful students move forward with their Makeup career.

Subjects covered within the course are:

• Special Effects Makeup
• Character Makeup
• Wigs and Postiche for Media
• Hairstyling Skills

What qualifications do I need?

No formal qualifications are required, although an artistic flair and a love of Makeup Artistry and the media world is essential.

Having experience in Hair, Makeup or Beauty would be advantageous but not essential.

You will have the chance to develop your creativity within Makeup Artistry and be involved in curriculum activities during your course

When applying please complete all sections and an informal interview is required in person on campus.

This course requires all applicants to be 16+ years

What can I do after?

Progression- successful completion from this L6 course can be to HN level in Fashion Makeup and Makeup Artistry
