Level 5 Entry to Childhood Practice

What will I learn?

Our lecturing team who have a wealth of experience of working in the childhood practice field, will support your learning in the following areas

  • Child Development and Health
  • Practice of Play
  • Process of Play
  • Working with Children and Young People
  • Supporting Children’s Rights
  • Care and Feeding of Children

Through opportunities on the course to work with young children, you will develop your practical and employability skills.

What qualifications do I need?

You must have evidence of working at level 5 and demonstrate an interest in children's learning and development. Applicants should be 16 or above before the start date of the course.

What can I do after?

After successfully completing this course, you will have the knowledge and skills needed to get a role a supporting role.

Or you could develop your skills further by studying another course, such as:

  • Higher Health Care
  • Higher Social Care
  • NC Childhood Practice
