NC Design and Media - January Start

What will I learn?

This January start course is a fast-track NC course that features studies in the following specialisms:

• Photography
• Interior Design
• Graphic Design with Animation
• Media

This ‘hybrid’ course will allow creatives to sample studies in all 4 areas within the Design and Media department, whilst working on real live-client briefs. It will allow you to experience each area of study whilst helping guide you towards further study in one of the HNC specialisms.

You will also learn about:

• Software
• Design Process
• Sketchbook Development
• Media Hardware

What qualifications do I need?

There's no formal entry requirement. For a place on the course, you'll need to submit a portfolio of recent work (if you don’t have a ‘formatted/complete portfolio of your work; we will happily accept any of your artwork for consideration) and attend an informal interview

What can I do after?

This course helps you create a wide portfolio of work, essential to studying further art, design and media courses.

After successfully completing this course and depending on the level of skills shown in your portfolio of work, you may be able to develop your skills further by studying another course, such as:

• HNC Graphic Design
• HNC Interior Design
• HNC Photography
• HNC Media
