Mark is a qualified accountant with over 30 years' experience spanning the Professional, Industrial, and Health Service sectors. He holds Master's degree with a dissertation in change management and delivering financial sustainability and brings a blend of analytical precision and a deep understanding of the human dynamics that drive organisational success.
Mark's career has been guided by the belief that finance is more than just numbers, it's about empowering people, improving systems, and helping organisations thrive. He has led strategic initiatives that build resilience, align resources with long-term goals, and foster collaboration across diverse teams, all while balancing rigorous financial planning with a thoughtful, inclusive approach to change. Before joining West College Scotland, Mark served as an NHS Executive and Board Member and held senior leadership roles in complex, fast-paced environments. In these positions, he spearheaded major change programmes that delivered measurable results on time, within budget, and fully aligned with organisational priorities.
