Jim has over 30 years' experience in the college sector, spending all of his time within Reid Kerr College and West College Scotland moving from part-time lecturer, Senior Lecturer, Head of Section, Head of Sector to Assistant Principal Enterprise and Skills.
Jim has made a significant contribution to expanding the college corporate presence by leading and prospecting new markets and initiatives. He has extensive experience of developing Educational Business Partner Networks in the UK and internationally across South-East Asia and the Middle East. With particular emphasis on both Curriculum Development and Quality Enhancement, representing WCS at International partner graduations across our partnership network.
Jim is a member of the AMIDS Strategic Advisory Group and previously Chaired the Regional ESOL Partnership Forum. He is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute (CMgr MCMI) and a keen business mentor, previously supporting development of the Scottish Board of Chartered Management Institute (CMI) as their education specialist and apprenticeship advisor. Jim is an Associate Tutor for Aberdeen University supporting our TQFE programme and is a Reviewer with QAA for the TQEF (Tertiary Quality Enhancement Framework).
