About Us

A college with a long and proud history

Unlocking Potential, Enabling Success.

West College Scotland was created in 2013 by the merger of Clydebank College, Reid Kerr College in Paisley and James Watt College in Greenock. With around 20,000 students and 800 staff, it is one of the biggest colleges in the country.

With four campuses located in Renfrewshire, Inverclyde and West Dunbartonshire we work across seven local authorities to provide learning opportunities for people aged from 14 to 80.

From our Schools Vocational Programme through to BA Hons, there are around 400 courses on offer to choose from every year.

WEST - Where Your Future Begins

We offer a huge range of courses – full-time, part-time, evening and online learning - all designed to help our students get a job, keep a job or get a better job and to help businesses with their training needs.

We are proud of our connections and partnerships and work with hundreds of local, regional and national businesses and employers to provide skills training, apprenticeship programmes, work experience placements and to ensure that together we build the workforce of tomorrow.

And we are also an entrepreneurial college with a commitment to innovation and collaboration, with partners in the UK and across the globe.

So, please have a look at what’s on offer and get in touch.
